ALPHA-PHONICS (In English) GOES TO A SCHOOL IN OSAKA, JAPAN

About threeyears ago Alpha-Phonics met Lila Verbetin, an American, who teaches at the Ibaraki Bible Church in Osaka, Japan. Verbetin ordered a rather large quantity of ALPHA-PHONICS  to be shipped to the school at the Church there.

The books were used by students there during the 2018-2019 school year with enough success that the School has reordered for the 2019-2020 year.  The Alpha-Phonics are printed in English but Verbetin indicated the students were able to learn well.  The fact that they were in English created one problem due to the fact that one English word in Alpha-Phonics when translated into Japanese tuns our to be a swear word in the Japanese language. Aside from this the bridge from English to use by Japanese students appears to have worked out quite well.

 The Osaka Castle is one of Japan’s most famous landmarks (Built in 1583) and it played a major role in the unification of Japan during the sixteenth century of the Azuchi-Momoyama period.

The publishers of ALPHA-PHONICS are very pleased that its phonics reading instruction books have been chosen by the Ibaraki Bible Church for use in its school.  This adds to the growing number of countries  we know  our book has been used around the world

We suspect that ALPHA-PHONICS has actually been shipped to many more countries.  Fulfillment of Alpha-Phonics orders go through wholesale resellers so we do not know of all sales in other countries.
